Empacadora Continental History’s
Empacadora Continental, emerges in 1990 as other divisions of The Continental Group, making a quickly and strong leadership in the international market since 1997. It has captured the domestic market by introducing innovative products that meet global quality standards, developed in a environmental liability with the ecosystem and human resources.
Previously, these facilities were used by Empacadora ALUS SA Ltd., which began operations in November 1960.
Empacadora Continental is dedicated to the production, packaging and distribution of products and sub-industry products of beef, to meet the needs of local and international market through different channels. It also produces and markets: livestock fattening, stallions, coffee, cocoa, sugar cane, corn, hides and crocodile meat.
Empacadora Continental is located in the city of San Pedro Sula, Cortés. It has an area of a 21384.25 m2 , an average number of 300 employees divided into 14 departments that lead the operational and financial business.
Our facilities include: Five process rooms (Slaughter, Boning, Value Added Products, Burgers and Rendering).
Our company operates with the pre-requisites, and HACCP plan since January 27, 1997. We have 4 CCP and our processes meet the E. coli O157:H7 standards as they are specified in FSIS Directives. Empacadora Continental is USDA approved as establishment # 12.
